How Not to Catch a Flu or Cold

FluTipsI just read a humorous article in About.com that had me laughing and shaking my head in dismay at the same time. It was entitled the Top 6 Ways to Get the Flu. First on their list was that Not getting a flu shot was a surefire way to get sick, followed by sticking your face in the mouth of a coughing child or sitting next to that sick person on the subway.

You may be for or against flu shots. Personally, I am against them and have read many articles stating that they aren’t effective, contain mercury or neurotoxins and may have dangerous side effects much worse than getting the flu, including even convulsions, autism and Alzheimer’s. Other articles say the shots are undermining your entire immune system.

Do your own research on the pros and cons of flu shots

I Googled “truth about flu shots” and came up with another whole list of articles saying all the above objections were just myths and completely untrue. See some of the links below.

What’s difficult in all this is that articles for and against are by reputable sites and all seem to be quoting experts. So what do you do? This is a tough one and since we are not medical doctors, we’re not in the business of giving health advice, although we do from time to time call your attention to certain things to consider.

Do your own Google searches, for the truth about flu shots, dangers of flu shots or vaccines, and whatever else you can think of. Then weigh the arguments you’ve heard and make your own informed decision. See below at end of article for a few of the links I found.

Regardless of what you decide to do about immunizations, it’s that time of year when you do want to do whatever you can to boost your immune system and prevent getting a cold or flu. It’s not quite flu season yet, so maybe some of these tips will help you boost your immune system now, and stay healthy this Winter.

Take steps now to boost your immune system

Regardless of what you decide to do about immunizations, it’s that time of year when you do want to do whatever you can to boost your immune system and prevent getting a cold or flu. It’s not quite flu season yet, so maybe some of these tips will help you boost your immune system now, and stay healthy this Winter.

  1. Stay away from people with fevers (when they are most contagious) and encourage sick co-workers to stay home (although I do wonder how you’re going to know if they have a fever without putting your hand on their foreheads - making sure you come into contact with them)
  2. Wash your hands
  3. Eat healthily – cut out the junk food – eat plenty of fruits and vegetables
  4. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to stay hydrated during the day
  5. Quit smoking – surprisingly quitting can improve your immunity within just a few weeks
  6. Take breaks – stretch
  7. Exercise
  8. Get plenty of sleep
  9. Meditate – meditation helps you relax and de-stress. If you’re new to meditation or want to deepen your practice, check out this book new Amazon best-seller by our good friend and long-time BioElectric Shield distributor, Debbie Takara Shelor “Peering Thru the Veil: the Simple Step-by-Step Guide to Meditation and Inner Peace”.
  10. Wear a BioElectric Shield to protect and boost your energy and immune system

Most of these healthy tips make sense all year, not just during cold and flu season.

We hope you have a health, joyful life.

How Vaccine Policy & Law Threatens Parental Rights in America
Dr. Mercola reports on a movie called The Greater Good and discusses both sides of this debate
"THE GREATER GOOD looks behind the fear, hype and politics that have polarized the vaccine debate in America today.
The film re-frames the emotionally charged issue and offers, for the first time, the opportunity for a rational and scientific discussion on how to create a safer and more effective vaccine program."

This film is focused on analyzing what can be done to create positive change and reduce irrational fears so parents and doctors can work together to minimize vaccine risks vaccine risks to individuals and our population.

(NaturalNews) Influenza vaccination rates are on the decline as Americans increasingly learn not only that flu shots contain harmful additives like Thimerosal (mercury), but also that they do not even work as claimed (one of the "side effects" of getting a flu shot, after all, is the flu itself).
