If you have purchased a car anytime in the last few years, it probably comes with some version of emergency assistance if you push an emergency button. Take a look and see if it’s in your car (it’s using on the mirror or dash). If so you have a smart car. It’s also a smart car if you can answer your phone or connect to music using hands-free Bluetooth technology. What this means is that you have you have a WiFi hotspot in your car. Wonderful, or is it?

I love my new car. Her name is Ruby. I can answer the phone, listen to iTunes, tilt the seats, warm my rear end, open the windows and the sunroof, call for help, find out if my tires need air and so much else, all at the mere click of a button. I don’t even need to plug my phone in and it’s instantly connected to my car system. I don’t even need to take my hands off the steering wheel in order to answer the phone. The ultimate in hands-free mobile phone communication. Oh yeah, and she’s a joy to drive.
But I’m telling you this to brag about my car or get you to go buy one, I am sharing in hopes that you’ll think differently about your time in the car.
I don’t use a Blue Tooth headset despite the fact that I have a level 4 Shield. The reason is simple, I still don’t want those EMF waves going straight to my brain and although I know the Shield protects me, why make it work that hard? Why take any chance at all? And yet, here I am in a car that is using Blue Tooth technology and WiFi to connect to my phone for calls and play music and audio books, the mirror has three different settings, one calls for help, the other communicates information about the condition and upkeep of my car, and the third one, I have absolutely no idea what it does, but they all use WiFi to alert someone to something.
