Off-balance & drained? Are you depleted by our technology or other people’s stress and fear?

Woman relaxing in protective bubble

Does this sound like you? You’re doing all the right things…eating well (fresh, non-GMO, etc), exercising, meditating, following doctor’s advice, etc and yet you feel strangely off-balance and unsettled, easily irritated, exhausted, at times even feeling like it’s all too much to handle.

Does it seem like you are inundated by too much noise, too much input, too much emotion, too much energy, too many moving parts (things to keep track of), too much talking, too much overthinking, too much fear and hype? If so, you may be a highly sensitive person.

Not all Highly Sensitive Persons are affected by the same things

Are you Feeling helpless against Energy Vampires?

woman with hands up to stop someone
If you are an empath or HSP you are most likely compassionate, caring and trusting. You most likely think that most people mean well. It’s hard to believe that there are some who purposefully prey on the trust and caring that so freely flows from you.

How can it be that you’re eating right, taking care of yourself, maybe even doing work that you love, and yet you are still exhausted and perhaps even sick? It could be that one of these predators is draining your energy. Unfortunately, energy vampires and narcissists are master manipulators who draw (drain) your energy and give nothing back in return. Are you taking care of everyone else first – It’s a Catch 22? HSP Series

Stuck in a Catch 22 - picture of umbrella, text take care of yourself

As women, we are often taught that we take care of everyone else first, and then if there is time and money left over, we take care of ourselves. What most of us don’t realize is that by doing that we are allowing ourselves to become de-energized – we are exhausted, possibly in pain, and lose the enthusiasm we once had.

When we are de-energized we actually become less able to take care of everything and everyone else.

DO YOU HAVE MYSTERIOUS SYMPTOMS? HSP Series#5

do you have mysterious symptomsHSP QUIZ – SURPRISING RESULTS!

A whopping 52% of those who took our HSP quiz reported that they have hard to explain or mysterious symptoms. If you have mysterious symptoms, they may be related to exposure to energies that are very abrasive to you. Have you ever had mysterious symptoms, physical or emotional issues that you just couldn’t seem to explain….and sadly, your health professional couldn’t either?

This is a surprisingly common experience among people who took our HSP/Empath Quiz.

ABRASIVE ENERGIES

Are there people you simply avoid? Do you attempt to get your shopping down quickly just to get away from the store? Both these situations can be considered abrasive, yet they can be from TWO DIFFERENT CAUSES! Other people’s energy can be so vibrationally different from yours that it’s really uncomfortable for you to be around that person. The EMF radiation from WiFi, cell phones, computers, tablets, etc. is also an abrasive and draining energy for many HSP’s.

Why are HSPs and Empaths Retreating into their Houses? HSP Series #6

Picture of young women holding onto window and looking fearfully outWhy are HSPs and Empaths Retreating into their Houses?

Agoraphobia and hermitism (my term) are very common among people who are sensitive to energy – this includes both other people’s stress and negativity and electrical energy of all kinds (EMF, RF, EMR). They are simply too impacted to “be in the world” and so they retreat.

Not all avoid going out completely, but many carefully plan how much they can handle in public settings or even with small groups of people. They need quiet, alone time to refresh and regroup. Those who are super sensitive and possibly also sensitive to electromagnetic radiation are actually afraid to go out. Continue reading

Are you living with Anxiety Depression Sleeplessness Exhaustion or Brain fog? What’s going on?

word cloud anxiety, fatigue, phobia, symptoms, dread, scared, turmoil, fear, angest, tension, panic attacksWhat do Anxiety, Depression, Sleeplessness, Exhaustion, Brain fog have in Common?

If you are battling any or even all of the above issues, you’re not alone. It seems that everyone I talk to these days is complaining about most of these issues. In fact, the actual statistics are alarming.

Studies report that high levels of people have been diagnosed with:

  • Anxiety 18%
  • Chronic Sleep issues 18%
  • Depression 7% in one study, 20-30% in others
  • Fatigue & exhaustion – various reports put that number between 20-75% of people.

That’s last is a pretty startling number. I also found it worrisome that the statistics given vary so greatly.

Giving without refueling – how will you keep that up over the long-term?

Giving without refueling - how will you keep that up over the long-term Giving without refueling – how will you keep that up over the long-term?

Self-Care is critical, especially if you’re an HSP or empath in the corporate world.

Before becoming a health coach I worked for five years in a corporate job. As an HSP this was a big challenge for me. I found almost everything about the job and the environment completely draining, but my biggest problem was that I couldn’t understand why other people around me seemed to be fine. After the first few exhausting years, I began learning about what it means to be an HSP.
