Last week I sent out an invitation to everyone asking you to come Twitter with me. A few people joined me, a few wrote back and said "Do What? Why?" or "just No Time". A few people thought I was spamming. For that I am truly sorry. I wanted to keep the email short and sweet, and obviously should have explained a little more.

In case you know about as much as I did a couple of months ago here's some more information and a free ebook to help you get started, if you're interested. Don't yell at me if you find yourself having too much fun, or completely unable to walk away from your computer. But Do make sure you're wearing your Shield. when you're online

Twitter is a new social phenomenon where you can send and receive messages of 140 characters or less. Twitter Definition - Mastering Twitter in 10 Minutes

Are Your Children Wired?
Are They Protected?

Did you Know?Child using cell phone

The UK Chief Medical Officers' advice: children under 16 should not use mobile phones except for short essential calls.

The French government is banning advertsing of mobile phones to children.

All the independently-funded scientific studies of longer term mobile phone use have found an increased risk of brain tumors.

WiredChild is a charity run by a group of concerned parents, raising awareness of the potential risks to children of exposure to radiation from mobile phones and other wireless technology. They hope to enable other parents, schools and children achieve a better balance between safety and convenience.

"There is reason to believe that children may be more susceptible to the effects of EMF exposure ...and they may be more at risk of DNA damage and subsequent cancers. Growth and development of the central nervous system is still occurring well into the teenage years so that neurological changes may be of great importance to normal development, cognition, learning and behavior."

Bio-Iinitiative Report

PLEASE MAKE SURE your children are protected. First, either have a BioElectric Shield hanging over their bed so it can wrap a protective energy cocoon around them while they sleep. This will stay in their energy field all day. An all silver or silver with brass shield is an excellent choice for infants, toddlers and school age children. (IF they have ADD/ADHD issues, there is a Shield designed to protect and focus their energy simultaneously). Parents of Indigo and Crystal chidren- you kids will really thank-you for the protection, because they are particularly vulnerable to these energies. ALSO we strongly recommend- putting protection on their cellphones if they have one. We are quite impressed with the waveShields. Ask us for ideas on how to do this easily.

Do Metaphysicians Grieve?

Wow what a question. I've been Twittering and often just glance down the long list of messages from the over 1,000 people that are currently following me as "bioelectric" on Twitter.

So back to my story - I glanced at the post by jan_toomer and I just had to click to read the story. Do Metaphysicians Grieve? Initially I couldn't believe someone even asked the question. It seemed so insensitive and invasive. Then I read Jan's story. Jan handled the question beautifully and gracefully and felt it was a very valid question. I only hope I gain her insight and wisdom some day.

Here's Jan's story from her Website - Enjoy

Do MBody Mind Life Expoetaphysicians Grieve?

May 27th, 2009 | Author: Jan Toomer

I was speaking with a friend Tuesday - this was the first time I had spoken with her since the death of my daughter, JoAnna. I had just finished going through boxes of JoAnna's belongings which she had stored at our house, so I was a bit tender from doing that.

During our conversation, my friend asked me a valid question which I will share some of here. (I am paraphrasing, as well as going into a more lengthy answer here.)

She asked about a metaphysical-oriented person (such as myself) and how the loss of a loved one (aka grief) hit us. In essence, because I can talk with those on the other side, and am a human, how did grief hit me?

I related to her about how JoAnna and I had been in contact up until the day before the wake her friends held for her (scheduled May 3rd -  13 days after her death) - and that I would cry every time I felt her presence near me or when she talked to me.

On May 1st, I sat down and told JoAnna that she needed to go back into the Light for a while - it was still too painful for me. I then told her that after I had time to heal, she was welcome to come back.
She gently pulled her energy from me.

On May 2nd, JoAnna popped back in. Smiling, she bowed to me, giggled and said, "Watch!"

In typical mischievous JoAnna-style, she put on a mini-theatrical production for me.

She showed the Light coming down; her friends from the other side appearing from within the Light.
A guardian Angel appeared beside JoAnna, and both - light-heartedly - walked towards the Light. JoAnna kept looking back at me, smiling.

She entered the Light - high-fiving her friends - and then turned back to me. The guardian Angel had moved beside JoAnna. Opened double doors appeared; the guardian Angel pulled one door closed and JoAnna began pulling her door closed.
As JoAnna's door was almost closed, she swung it open a little wider, stuck out her hand and energetically waved; she bowed, and shut the door.
I laughed.

Her message was, "See? I'm giving you closure!"
- - - - - -
I have cried, and tears still spontaneously spring forth - even as I write this.

I am a physical being. I mourn the physical loss of my daughter, who was also my friend. I miss her physical presence.

Yes, metaphysicians grieve.

I do want each of you to know that even if you can't hear or sense your deceased loved ones yet - they can, and do, hear you.

Your prayers for your loved ones are heard and appreciated by them - as is when you talk to them.

And please know that when you are going "Home", they will be there to greet you.

In Love and Light, Jan.

Freedom and Liberty, Is there a difference?

Freedom

Is there a difference between freedom and liberty?

Since our Independence Day is close, this seems an appropriate question.

"We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it" ~William Faulkner

I was listening to a CD from Million Dollar Mindset by James Arthur Ray and he was telling a story about Victor Frankl who was in a concentration camp during World War II. The short version is that even though the he was beaten, starved and horribly abused at one point he was laying on the operating table about to be sterilized without anesthesia when he realized that they could take his liberty but not his freedom. He began to pity the Nazi's who had many liberties but had given up their freedom to become part of an unquestioning body of men following a cruel and corrupt system.

I know I paraphrased, and may have even missed the point of the story, but that's what I took away from it. It got me thinking about the difference between freedom and liberty. We often use these terms interchangeably, but are they the same?

TheViktor Frankl Last Freedom
"We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms-- to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."
~Viktor Frankl "Mans Search for Meaning"

"Freedom means choosing your burden" ~Hephzibah Menuhin

www.dictionary.com Usage: Liberty, Freedom. These words, though often interchanged, are distinct in some of their applications. Liberty has reference to previous restraint; freedom, to the simple, unrepressed exercise of our powers. A slave is set at liberty; his master had always been in a state of freedom. A prisoner under trial may ask liberty (exemption from restraint) to speak his sentiments with freedom (the spontaneous and bold utterance of his feelings). The liberty of the press is our great security for freedom of thought.

To me, freedom comes down to knowing that no one can tell you how to think, or feel, or react even when certain liberties are denied to you. Patrick Henry said: "Give me Liberty, or Give me Death" and this applied to the colonies breaking away from Mother England. In our definition of liberty and freedom, even if England had not released the United States from the "colony" status, they never could have denied Mr. Henry's freedom of thoughts and feelings. And Vicktor Frankel showed us that love and compassion can exist in the middle of war.

I keep coming back to the feeling that although we may have duties, constraints and obligations that seem to restrict our liberty or ability to live our lives unrestricted it's up to us to decide if we are free or not. Let me explain.

Have you ever talked to someone who is ranting about how stuck they are in their job, life, family...you get the picture. According to them, they are powerless and totally at the mercy of the system, the boss, the powers that be. But is that really true? At any moment in time, we have the freedom to make another choice, to find another job, change things in our lives that aren't working, or just change ourselves and our outlook.

A quote from my new Facebook Friend Hinton Harrison
"It may look like freedom is a privilege, it is our birthright, be peaceful vigilant, active and brave for the freedom of expression. Let's be smart earth heart art-shine-om bothers and sisters be the precious gift you are. It is my liberty to live a creative life in the Freedom of Expression."

"Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." Viktor Frankl

What choices are you making? Where have you found freedom in your life?

Please share your stories with us.

Happy Independence Day, and may you experience your freedom every day.

Can You Feel the Love Tonight?
A Tribute to Dave Marston

There are times in your life when the most unexpected things can happen, and even as you watch them, you can't believe it's for real. I sing in a community choir,  that is about 120 people strong, the Siskiyou Singers.

Singers

In January, as we began our rehearsals for our spring concert, our choir director showed up at rehearsal apologizing for the fact he didn't have the practice CD ready for the tenors. He said he'd had a tough time getting rid of a cold in December. This was the first time in 20 years he wasn't completely ready for the new season.

Dave, at 56 years old, was the picture oDave Mf health. When directing, he was a perfectionist for timing, pitch and proper blending. Dave always coached us from the space of love - and the belief that we would be able to take the most complex musical piece and make it sound great - in about 25 minutes. Without a doubt, he was the most talented director I've ever sung with.

So why am I telling you this? Well, this is a story that could also be called "Stand by Me". As the winter progressed, Dave's body and mind began to fail. It started with a slight balance problem. Within a few weeks he needed someone to help him onto the podium to direct. By April it took two people to help him up to a podium that had a chair on it. When he stopped hearing errors we made, we all knew something really serious was going on. I thought he might die from whatever it was. No one wanted to even "go there", but we all were very concerned.

A week before our May 2nd concert, another director sat in the back of the rehearsal hall - just in case he wouldn't be able to direct us. His will was stronger than his disease, and promptly at 2pm on Saturday, we started the pre-concert warm up. After he was helped to the podium, he spoke to us. "This may be the last concert I ever direct, so I really wanted to be here for it. You all have made this possible, and from the bottom of my heart, I thank-you for all your hard work and dedication. It's been my privilege to be your director for the past 20 years and I really look forward to these 2 performances." It was all we could do to contain our tears - but we did, and sang our hearts out for him. By pre-arrangement from our choir president, we ignored him when he cut us off too soon in a couple of places. By then we knew his mind was in and out, and that it was up to us to sing in a way that would make him proud. We loved this brave, sweet man and wanted to do anything we could for him.

The Universe is such a perfect Being. Dave told us that originally he had planned a classical program for this concert, but at the last minute, he decided to change it to the choral versions for 6 Broadway musicals. Our last song was from the Lion King. First we sang it as the part of the Lion King, and then, on cue from our pianist, we sang it to him - for the chorus goes like this:

Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
With all its living things
Can you feel the love tonight?
You needn't look too far
Stealing through the night's uncertainties
Love is where they are

Everyone in the concert hall knew Dave, and the standing ovation they gave us really was for him - for his dedication, skill and courage at being there. He was still cracking jokes with the audience in the midst of dying. Elton John recorded a version of this song.

During this time, his partner, Annie, was taking care of him. As he got sicker, we all started bringing meals over to her place for them, each and every day. Finally, after a trip to a San Francisco hospital, he was diagnosed with Crutzfelt Jacob disease, also known as Mad Cow disease. There is no treatment, only deterioration leading to death. June 20th and 21st all his choirs (he directed 4 in the area), and many other musical friends put on 2 benefit concerts to help pay the medical expenses. By that time he had stopped eating, and was completely paralyzed. Annie and others stayed with him 24/7. It was a testimony to the love they felt for him. He left this earth Monday night, the day after the benefits. He probably rode out of here on a highway of love created for him. Surely this was a wonderful example of standing by someone. If you want to feel really good - listen to this inspiration version of Stand by Me

It's what we are all about - LOVE.

Shield ReCharging Instructions

recharge window

The first weekend of the month is coming up, so it's a great time to hang your Shield in natural light either in a window, or preferably, outside. (More info) We usually just keep it on the cord or chain, and loop it over a lawn chair. This allows it to hang freely and absorb the energy from the sun.
lawnchair

IT DOES NOT NEED TO BE A SUNNY DAY for you to recharge your Shield. It's not the light that the shield needs; it's the energy vibration from the sun that recharges the crystals. However, bright sunlight does make it charge faster. So, if it's sunny, leave it out for 3 continuous hours; if cloudy, for 6 continuous hours. If you are hanging it in a window that blocks certain parts of the light spectrum, leave it for 8 hours.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR SHIELD OUT IN THE MOONLIGHT! The moon is reflected energy from the sun, thus it pulls energy away from your Shield. If you ever forget, hang your Shield out for twice as many hours as it was left in the moonlight. To insure it is functioning at 100%, you can send it in for recharging and repolishing. Our consultant examines each Shield that is sent in to make sure it has received a full charge from our crystal room.

Suggestion for worry-free recharging: Recharge your Shield during the New Moon (dark) phase. That way if you do forget and leave it out overnight, there's no harm done, as there is no moonlight shining on it to drain it.

Have a joyful, abundant and positive month

Sincerely,

Virginia and Carolyn
