I’m certainly not an expert, and I won’t pretend to be. I do have some experience with the subject though. I am sensitive to EM, yes I'm an electrosensitive, although I couldn’t have ever explained that to you until I was no longer being affected. Most of my life I was extremely sensitive to fluorescent lighting, headaches, dizziness, eyes hurt. My doctor prescribed glasses with a filter to lessen the effect, and that helped somewhat. 5. Always keep meters distant from other people when calling, in order not to irradiate them!
6. Never keep your cell phone in your pocket, radiation may affect fertility!
7. Always switch your cell phone at night and never keep it near your head!

9. Headsets may also be unsafe; cables may conduct radiations!

Unfortunately and tragically, the majority of Health Officials at Health Agencies worldwide, who are supposed to protect the health of the public, have been for years siding with the industries, and have been denying the reality of the disease of Electromagnetic Sensitivity , (EMS), cancer and other diseases caused by the harmful radiations, emitted by computers screen, cell phones, WiFi, cell phone towers, and other modern wireless technologies.

For more numerous years, the industries have spread powerful campaigns of misinformation about EMS in the entire world, to doctors, hospitals, clinics, the public, the media, Health Agencies, so that this disease does not get medically recognized, with , in most instances, the full support of some of the highest public health officials. At present time, public manifestations are taking place, all over the world to put a stop to the endless proliferation of cell phone towers, the harmful radiations from computer screens and cell phones, radio frequencies and other technologies, and there is a petition on line, to support the Worldwide Bioinitiative Report´s recommendations for Electromagnetic Radiations, (EMR) exposure limits, to protect the public from EMR hazards.

The symptoms of Electromagnetic Sensitivity (EMS) are painful, numerous, and can vary with each individual. Computers screens and cell phone towers, are on the top of the list to induce EMS. Even though the symptoms of EMS can be numerous, there is a worldwide pattern of symptoms most reported upon electromagnetic radiation exposures, and they are as follows:

Dermal changes/dermatitis, characterized by severe tingling , burning pin and needles sensations all over the body, a very unpleasant feeling of warmth/burning sensation to the head similar to a severe sunburn, pressure in the head, heart rate changes, such as tachycardia, arrhythmia, high blood pressure, headaches, profound malaise, visual changes, blurred vision, nausea, tiredness, exhaustion, tinnitus, loss of concentration and memory, tightening in the head, neurological and respiratory difficulties, gastric problems.

Other important symptoms have also been reported such as: noise sensitivity, vertigo, restlessness, alteration of sleep patterns and of appetite, moods swings, tearfulness and eye pain.

Clinical observations include: Pupil dilation, perspiration, changes in respiration, heart rate changes, muscular weakness, speech difficulty, convulsions, loss of consciousness, loss of visual acuity.

Associate Professor Olle Johnasson at the Experimental Dermatology Unit, Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden, has made an important point in regard to the skin of persons injured by computer monitors. Professor Johnasson stated that, since persons who claim to have electromagnetic sensitivity/screen dermatitis , report cutaneous sensations, such as pricking pain, itch, redness..etc, then the peripheral as well as the nervous central system must be involved and that the reaction pattern definitively points to a true biophysical effect, and not to anything else. He also said that if one takes into consideration the large number of publications showing severe changes or damages from low or high frequency irradiation of cells and tissues in animals experiments, it is obvious that these alterations cannot be interpreted as imaginary! He summarized his own scientific research , stating: " it is evident from our preliminary data that various alterations are present in the electro- hypersensitive person´s skin.

The studies of Eltiti et al. 2007, concluded that the skin of people with electrosensitivity conducts electricity at a higher rate than those who are not affected, and that the skin also, is frequently permeable, which may account for the high incidence of allergies and multiple Chemical Sensitivities, commonly found in this group, and that altered central nervous function may very well account for the manifestation of symptoms, when exposed to electromagnetic fields and/or chemical exposures.

The large majority of persons suffering from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), which is an environmental illness triggered by exposures to toxic chemicals in the environment, and is presently a most terrible worldwide epidemic,( the direct consequence of global pollution,) have acquired a high degree of sensitivity to many things in the environment and consequently are very likely to also have an abnormal sensitivity to electrical stimuli/ electromagnetic radiations, and in fact, they do have EMS. The symptoms usually occur within seconds of exposure to a given frequency, and frequencies from Hertz to GigaHertz , do cause reactions in sensitive people. Electric fields in the order of millivolts per metre, are known to cause reactions in sensitive people.

It is quite significant to know that trials have shown, that while a person is reacting severely to another hypersensitivity/allergic trigger in the environment, repeated exposures to a given frequency, can sensitize people in a way that their specific sensitivity pattern of response can be triggered on encountering that same frequency later. Usually the pattern response is the same, whether the trigger is chemical, biological, nutritional, electrical, electromagnetic.

Pesticides and herbicides appear to enhance electromagnetic sensitivity, and ionizing radiations also seem to have an additional effect. It also has been found that when persons with MCS who are able (under the care of doctors treating MCS) to have their load of toxic chemicals in their body lowered, the symptoms of electromagnetic sensitivity decrease, in direct proportion to the lowering of toxic load in their body. The majority of doctors worldwide do not have a true knowledge of Electromagnetic Sensitivity (EMS), and due to the powerful lobbying, and anti-EMS campaigns of misinformation by the industries worldwide, they are very resistant to officially recognize Electromagnetic Sensitivity (EMS) as an illness, induced by electromagnetic radiations in the environment.

However, in the US, Electromagnetic Sensitivity (EMS) is recognized as a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act, (ADA) and by the US Access- Board, (a US Federal Agency dedicated to the access of persons with disabilities).The US Access-Board , has put on-line an extensive guideline of accommodations for persons disabled by Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) and Electromagnetic Sensitivity (EMS) http://ieq.nibs.org/intro.php

The Government of Sweden has Officially recognized Electromagnetic Sensitivity (EMS) as a disability, and the Canadian Government, the Canadian Human Rights Commission,(CHRC) has also recognized EMS, as a disability, under " Environmental Sensitivities(ES)". The CHRC, describes environmental sensitivities as follows: "The term "environmental sensitivities" describes a variety of reactions to chemicals, electromagnetic radiation, and other environmental factors at exposure levels commonly tolerated by many people."

In the mean time, while the powerful lobbying of industries is preventing the medical recognition of this devastating illness, so they will not have to face liabilities and loss of profit, millions of people with EMS suffer terribly, have lost their health, jobs, homes, families, and friends, have nowhere to turn to, in order to escape the massive global electromagnetic pollution everywhere, and millions more will be affected, until, Governments takes the drastic steps of recognizing the illness, and inform the public, doctors, hospitals, clinics, about this illness, and reduce urgently the levels of electromagnetic radiations worldwide.

Louis Slesin, editor of 'Microwave News' says in the preface to

"Dr Robert Becker's prescient book 'Cross Currents' (ISBN 0-87477-609-0) was published twelve years ago and has even more resonance today as our environment becomes increasingly saturated with electromagnetic signals. Today, some 150 million Americans - and more than a billion others worldwide - regularly use mobile phones, irradiating their brains and their eyes.

In this study, of the 100 patients who expressed suspicion of EMF sensitivity, 75 actually responded to fields, whereas none of the controls did. Of the 75, 25 had no reactions to blanks, whereas 50 did, and thus were discarded from the study; even though we felt that some of the reactions to blanks might be evidence of delayed reaction to previous frequencies, or prolonged response to the previous positive challenge, as well as true placebo reactions.

When one compares the various groups to controls, it is clear that there is a group of patients who have unstable response systems which appear different from those of the individuals who acted as controls. These studies show that EMF sensitivity could be elicited under environmentally controlled conditions. As a result of the weak field levels and short exposure time, the responses were mild except in two patients whose symptoms were so severe (e.g., drop attack, severe itching) that they received intravenous vitamin C, magnesium, and oxygen as a result of the prolonged and delayed reactions.
